A devastating fire broke out at Ngobros Factory, located at 11 Obidiah Road near Chartered Junction, Abubor Nnewi-Ichi, in Nnewi North Local Government Area, Anambra State, destroying goods and property worth several millions of naira.

Although the cause of the fire remains unknown, it was reported to have started at approximately 5:45 am on Wednesday, originating from a corner of the factory and burning equipment and inventory before the arrival of the state fire service.

Eyewitnesses said the fire raged for several minutes before firefighters arrived and worked determinedly to prevent it from spreading to nearby buildings.

Confirming the incident, Head of Media and Publicity for the Anambra State Fire Service, Chukwudi Chiketa, stated that a crew and firefighting equipment were swiftly deployed following a distress call.

Chiketa said, “An early morning fire erupted today at Ngobros Factory, located at 11 Obidiah Road near Chartered Junction, Abubor Nnewi-Ichi, Nnewi North Local Government Area. The Anambra State Fire Service responded promptly and coordinated an effective intervention.
