Chinese Farmers To Get Land For Rice Production In South Africa.
The ANC government has given 100 Hectares of land to a Chinese company on a long term rental worth R300 million in the Lydenburg / Bosbokrand area.
Agricultural scientists question the rice project as a large amount of water will have to be supplied to produce rice in a dry area of the province.
Concern has already been expressed that South Africa can now become a dumping ground for Chinese.
