Senator representing Abia South , Enyinnanya Abaribe has become the senate minority leader.

The position was conferred on him by the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) after a meeting between the party leaders and the senators in Abuja, on Thursday.

Those who retained their seat are Senator Emmanuel Bwacha who is still the Deputy Minority Leader, and Phillip Aduda who is the Minority Whip.

Further reports said the party is yet to formally write the Senate informing them of it’s decision today.

Meanwhile, the All Progressives Congress (APC) has not selected its leaders in the senate, however the ruling party is heading the top four positions in the National Assembly.
