Leadership of the National Assembly on Tuesday were at the State House in Abuja to break the Ramadan fast with President Muhammadu Buhari.

The delegates include the Senate  President, Dr. Bukola Saraki, Deputy Senate President, Ike Ekweremmadu, Speaker, Rt Hon Yakubu Dogara who are also members of the opposition Peoples Democratic Party.

However there were other persons present at the meeting who are members of the ruling party.

They include the Chief of Staff, Mallam Abba Kyari, and Senate Majority Leader, Senator Ahmed Lawan.

Recall that Saraki and Dogara were members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) before their defection to the opposition party.

After their defection, members of the APC called for their immediate resignation with the claim that the senate cannot be headed by someone from the minority party.
