The 2019 Presidential candidate of the African Action Congress (AAC) Omoyele Sowore has been suspended by the National Executive Committee  (NEC) of the party as the National Chairman.

According to Channels Television, Sowore was accused of anti-party activities, failurae  to convene NEC meeting and financial misappropriation.

The party immediately swore in Leonard Nzenwa as the new acting national chairman of the party.

It was gathered that some other members of his executive were also suspended, the party declared that there suspension took effect from March 27 and will be sustained for six months unless the National Convention of the party overturns it.
