Report has emerged that the Rivers State APC May Not Be On 2019 Ballot, As Rotomi Amaechi’s Faction Losses At Appeal Court.

Following the outcome of what happened to APC in Zamfara state, where party in-fighting resulted to them not being able to meet the INEC deadline, same may be applicable as Rivers state APC led by the Transport Minister has just lost out at the Appeal Court in Port Harcourt.

The court of Appeal in Port Harcourt this morning strikes out the motion filed by Amaechi/Ojukaye, claiming that their appeal has been overtaken by events following the Supreme Court ruling.

According to report, the APC leadership accepted and submitted Amaechi’s faction’s Primaries and candidates, but the court ruled earlier that their Primaries election was illegal, implying that the submitted candidates are not qualified to contest in the 2019 general election.

The Senator Abe’s faction may not be lucky to benefit from this court ruling as they INEC deadline for the submission of candidates has passed and they can only substitute candidates in the event of death.
