The President of the 9th Senate Representing Yobe North Senatorial District, Senator Ahmad Ibrahim Lawal has said that if necessary actions are not taken to curb this killing of Nigerians in South African, we all will not only be talking about the molestation of Nigerians in S.A but other countries might be involved as well.

Senator Lawal also disclosed that S.A High Commissioner paid him a courtesy visit few weeks ago to discuss on how to find a possible solution in solving the issue, and he made it clear to the Commissioner that Nigeria will no longer tolerate the brutal killing of our citizens in S.A.

He revealed this statement via a tweet he posted on twitter few hours ago, says he has also written to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs asking them to provide names of Nigerians killed in S.A so far.

Senator Lawal tweeted; “I’m of the view that unless necessary diplomatic steps are taken, we’ll not only be talking about the killing and molestation of Nigerians in South Africa, but other countries as well.”

“When the South Africa High Commissioner to Nigeria paid me a courtesy visit few weeks ago, I made it very clear to him that Nigeria will no longer tolerate the killing of her citizens in South Africa. Even if Nigerians commit crimes, Killing them should not be the first option.”

“I have written to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. I have asked them to furnish us with names of Nigerians killed in South Africa so far. We are going to write to the South Africa Government and we will put an end to these killings.”
