Kano State governor, Abdullahi Ganduje on Wednesday received Zainab Aliyu and Ibrahim Abubakar at the state house after they were released by the Saudi Arabia government.

Zainab and Ibrahim were implicated in an alleged drug trafficking in Saudi Arabia.
They were arrested at the Prince Mohammed Bin Abdulaziz International Airport in Medina after a banned drug, Tramadol was found in her bag.
After spending four months in detention, they were released through the intervention of the Nigerian Government.
However, it was gathered that Governor Ganduje has promised to assist them financially by giving them N3,000,000 each.
Also present at the state house is the Chairman, Chief Executive Officer of the Nigeria Diaspora Commission, Hon Abike Dabiri-Erewa.
