The Kaduna-Abuja Expressway has become a den of robbers and a place that is unsafe for motorists.

A lot of people have been abducted by these armed bandits severally and calls have been made to the Federal Government to address the situation before it gets out of hand.

On Monday afternoon, Kidnappers again laid siege on the road forcing several motorists to abandon their cars and run into nearby bushes for their own safety.

According to PUNCH, a correspondent of the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) who witnessed the attack said that before security agencies could get to the place, the bandits have already headed into the bush with some of their victims who they abducted after stealing belongings of people who fled leaving their things behind.

It was gathered that the incident took place at about 3.30pm, few kilometres to Katari village in Kagarko Local Government Area of Kaduna State.

The incident caused a heavy traffic as motorists traveling from Kaduna to Abuja, as well as those going the other way, found themselves stranded for more than 40 minutes as both lanes of the expressway were blocked by cars hastily abandoned by their owners.
