Governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Osun State, Ademola Adeleke has again being arraigned in court by the Nigerian police over examination malpractice.
Adeleke was accused of conspiring with workers at the Ojo-Aro Community Grammar School to procure illegal examination results.
The former governorship aspirant was re-arraigned on Tuesday with the charges increased from four to seven counts, still bordering on similar offences.
It was gathered that Senator Adeleke was arraigned alongside with a principal and three others accused of conspiring to commit the alleged crime.
The police also accused the lawmaker of making false documents, regarding his age and violating the Exam Malpractice Act of 2004.
Recall that before the September 22 gubernatorial election which produced the All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate Adegboyega Oyetola as the governor of the state, the issue about Adeleke’s malpractice started prior before the election and got the senator appearing in court amidst election campaign.
After Oyetola was declared winner by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), Adeleke who felt cheated at the polls had gone to the tribunal to challenge the victory of the APC candidate who has been sworn in as the governor of Osun State.
