Ahead of the forthcoming elections, the Senator representing Kaduna Central District, Shehu Sani has advised religious leaders to guard their utterances and as well caution their followers against incitement and sectarianism.

The lawmaker also advised Nigerians not to participate in any act that will result to the loss of their lives or that of any individual.

According to the statement he tweeted on Thursday morning, he wrote; “The two main contenders are all Muslims from the north,religious leaders must guard their utterances and caution their followers against incitement & sectarianism. A politician can win or lose,but lives lost are irreplaceable.Kill not and die not for a moment that will go.’

Recall that it was earlier reported how fourteen persons died in a stampede at the All Progressives Congress, APC campaign rally in Rivers State.

Further reports said about eight persons were critically injured and were taken to the hospital for treatment after the APC campaign.
