The human rights activist and co-convener of ‘our mumu don do’ crusade, Prince Deji Adeyanju, has been arrested and remanded in prison by the Nigeria Police for protesting against them.

According to the Police, Deji was arrested alongside with two other men Daniel Abobama and Boma Williams at Karshi Magistrate Court, Federal Capital Territory yesterday, for what they called conspiracy and public nuisance.


The Activist, was arrested on Wednesday at 10.55am in the morning while leading a peaceful protest against the interference of police on political matters.


Meanwhile, prince Deji had recently apportioned blames on the Chief of Army Staff, Lt. General Yusuf Buratai  in his twitter page, over the recent killings of the Nigeria soldiers by Boko Haram, demanding for his sack.

He was also one of the people speaking against the leadership of president Muhammadu Buhari and his administration.


However, the Police has listed his crimes, added that he will remain in prison till January 21,2019.
