Two members of the Kano State House of Assembly have died just hours apart, officials confirmed on Wednesday.

Both lawmakers passed away on Wednesday. Their deaths were announced by Ibrahim Adam, Special Adviser on Information to Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf, in a post on Facebook.
“May Allah forgive your shortcomings. Late Aminu Sa'adu of Ungogo Constituency. Late Sarki Aliyu Daneji of KMC Constituency,” he wrote. “We lost both of them this evening.”
Similarly, the Director of Media at the Kano Government House, Sanusi Bature Dawakin Tofa, announced the deaths of the lawmakers.
In a Facebook post on Wednesday, he wrote: “Innalillahi Wa Inna Ilaihirrajiun. Hon. Aminu Saad Ungoggo, Member, Ungoggo State Constituency dies after brief illness. Died today and will be buried this evening in his home town Ungoggo, Kano.”
Announcing the death of Daneji in another post, he said, “Innalillahi Wa Inna Ilaihirrajiun. Hon. Sarki Aliyu Daneji, member representing Kano Municipal at Kano State House of Assembly died today an hour after the death of his counterpart.”
